High powers – wide field of view
People with impaired vision often need both high magnification and a wide field of view, which can be a challenging combination. ML Aplanat is an aplanatic system that solves this problem by dividing the power between two equally sized lenses to preserve as much of the field of view as possible.
ML Aplanat is a monocular lens system offering high image quality and a wide field of view at close range.
The lenses are combined in such a way that the image is as undistorted as possible, even though the system magnifies up to eight times. The frame must be at least 40 mm high to accommodate the optical system.

Test Set Aplanat & A2
Historically, the ML Aplanat and ML A2 were measured in two different units, but today we measure both in Equivalent Power (EP). Older test sets use the previous measurement system, so to avoid having to convert the figures, we recommend that you use the new test box (item number 99039). The test box contains selected products to help you easily find the right power. The test set also includes a fitting guide. The test box can be ordered under STOCK ORDERS in the webshop, and you must be logged in.
