OUR OPTICAL QUALITY LEVELS

Within our lens program, we are able to provide everything from simple optics to the most advanced individualized designs, of course always with a very generous power range. The difference between the different levels of optics is the final image quality. There are many factors that determines whether the wearer recognize these differences, such as powers, frame shape and what input data has been considered. Some are more sensitive to these differences than others. There is also a difference in how much we are ready to pay for quality optics.

ML Perform+™

Perform+™ is the latest upgraded version how to calculate the highest definition of the lens based on the customers individual parameters. This lens maximizes the visual performance. The wearer experiences the new concept of “no limits vision”. Perform+™ provides the best visual combination of perfect vision with optimal comfort.

  • A fully compensated lens where the customers individual parameters are included in the advanced calculation
  • High-definition vision from the centre to the edge of the lens
  • Improved visual definition in all gaze directions
  • Variable inset optimization for each wearer
  • Thickness optimization
  • Especially beneficial for high minus or high plus prescriptions, and prescriptions with large astigmatic corrections or higher wrap angle (Z-tilt)

ML Atoric+™

Atoric+™ is based on the same advanced calculation as Perform+™ above but instead of individual parameters, standard parameters are used.

  • A fully compensated lens using standard parameters for the advanced calculation
  • High-definition vision from the centre to the edge of the lens
  • Improved visual definition in all gaze directions
  • Thickness optimization
  • The optimum and easy choice for more normal values in minus, plus, cylinder and wrap angle

ML Classic

A basic calculation with a spherical, non-compensated, back surface.

  • The best choice for an economic solution

ML Atoric+™ compensation

To obtain the full potential of an Atoric+™ compensated lens we need the basic information such as

Corrective power, PD and Height

Horizontal Box Size (HBOX), Vertical Box Size (VBOX) and Distance Between Lenses (DBL)

With the frame dimensions above specified we could calculate the final diameter and thickness of the lens. Lens diameter will be selected automatically to obtain the minimum possible thickness. Frame dimensions also improve the efficiency of the optimization, because the final lens is optimized only where it is needed. Finally, pupil heights can be used to automatically select the best corridor length in progressive lenses, in cases where it is not specifically indicated.

Back vertex distance (BVD), Panascopic angle (Panto) and Wrap angle (Z Tilt)

The above dimensions are pre-set for easy but still advanced optimization.

For powers below +-6.0 and cyl -4.0 and the frame parameters within the following range, Panto 6° (+- 4°)  Z Tilt 4° (+-3°) and BVD 13mm (+-3mm), the Atoric+™ calculation will give a very well-balanced solution.

ML Perform+™ compensation

To obtain the full potential of a Perform+™ compensated lens we need to add the individual information such as

Back vertex distance (BVD), Panascopic angle (Panto) and Wrap angle (Z Tilt)
